  1. I think the Starbucks franchise can potentially benefit from this new feature because it will attract more customers since it's serving a wider variety of beverage. I'm pretty sure that this will allow the franchise to gain more profit. Personally, I think that it's going to take a while to get used to the concept that Starbucks won't be seen as just a coffee shop anymore.

  2. I agree with Anjanette, I think that starbucks will also benefit by selling alcohol. It will be able to attract a different group of customers. I think that expanding their menu items will be able make more profit. Coffee, Tea, and alcoholic drinks now can sell to a larger variety of people. Kids, teenagers, and adults, even adults looking for a drink in order to relax. Starbucks menu items are not cheap, but they also are not that expensive. I am just wondering with the new alcohol item, are they going to follow the same pricing standard?

  3. I think that it will certainly bring more profit to Starbucks as many people like to drink coming back from work, especially bringing along friends, however, a cost for consumers is that these Starbucks stores may be busier and have longer lines with the addition of customers coming in for alcohol. Also, I think that there will be a handful of people who may dislike the idea of Starbucks selling alcohol as some parents may not like the idea of a family friendly shop now selling alcohol. Another thing to consider this situation may make it more difficult for the baristas/bartenders as they will have to make sure their customers are age appropriate when a customer is purchasing alcohol and it may become more difficult to handle the amount of drinks they have to know how to make. One question I have is how did Starbucks make a decision on which locations of Starbucks shops to add liquor to?

  4. I feel that Starbucks would benefit from serving alcohol because it would be attracting a whole range of new customers not just coffee lovers. Starbucks already sells a significant amount of stuff that attract customers to their store that is why they are so popular around the world. And by adding this new attraction to their menu starbucks would be so much popular.
